A memorial garden dedicated to noted Forsyth County commissioner and city councilman, Charles F. Welch, is maintained on an annual basis by Cumming Garden Club. The Club and Forsyth County Master Gardeners created this garden in 1998.

Garden was expanded
i​n 2011, and the Club continues to restore and add plants to keep it fresh and interesting.

Poole's Mill Park - (see Girl Scout Garden sub-page)

In the mid 1990's, the 10-acre Poole's Mill Bridge area was converted to Forsyth County property, restoration was done to the old covered bridge,
and a historic marker was installed.
                           Poole's Mill Park, with a picnic pavilion, playground and
​                           restroom facility, was dedicated in 1997.
​                           Settingdown Creek
​                           provides an area for
​                           kids to play on the
​                           rocks and in the
​                           water.
